Amaryllis belladonna

("Belladonna lily / Naked lady / Amarillo")

Amaryllis belladonna

Two rows of broad straped-shaped green leaves appear first before the flowers do. The stems will grow months later, after the foliage has died back (hence the nick-name 'Naked ladies' - fyi 'belladonna' means beautiful lady) and produce a cluster of 2-12 funnel shaped fragrant flowers that are 2-4" (5-10 cm) in diameter. PLEASE NOTE: If you are looking for the classical "Indoor Amaryllis" that are sold and grown during the Winter months around the Christmas holidays please check under their official name of "Hippeastrum" elsewhere on our website.
